Turbine Engine Service Group
About Us
Consolidated Heliflight, Inc./Northstar Aerospace
Turbine Engine Service
Group was organized in 1981. The original intent was for the company to
repair, overhaul, and operate helicopters. Until 1986, that is exactly
what we did. Our customers included Commercial Operators, different
branches of the United States Armed Services, and other Civil Government
entities operating a wide variety of aircraft.
In 1986, we decided to focus exclusively on the overhaul and repair of the
Pratt & Whitney – PT6T power sections and reduction gearboxes. Since that time we have
successfully repaired, overhauled, and tested over 2,000 PWC
PT6T Power Sections and Gearboxes. At Northstar Aerospace our customers
always come first and we continue to provide outstanding service with
quality products.
In 1993, we expanded our overhaul and repair line to include most models
of the PWC- PT6A Turboprop Engines. We proceeded cautiously with this new
service product, overhauling a few engines each year until 1998. We then
decided to expand our facilities and dedicate more effort toward
fixed-wing engines. The PT6A accounts for over 50
percent of the repair and overhaul production at our facility in Stroud,
Oklahoma.
In 1998, we. became a part of
Northstar Aerospace, a Canadian public
company with operating subsidiaries in Canada and the United States. In
2002 we adopted our parent company name and became Northstar Aerospace
Turbine Engine Service Group. Northstar Aerospace has developed a world
class reputation as a premier manufacturer of flight critical aircraft
components. Northstar Aerospace is a supplier of rotary wing dynamic
components used by
Boeing,
General Electric,
Westland Lynx,
Kaman,
Bell
and
Sikorsky.
Northstar Aerospace
Turbine Engine Service Group continues to operate as
an independent facility, providing a level of excellence in repairs,
overhauls, and field service that is unequaled anywhere in the industry.
Many of our customers have been with us since the beginning and most have
been returning customers for more than 10 years. These results have been
achieved by directing all of our efforts and resources toward quality
production and outstanding customer service.
Northstar Aerospace Turbine Engine Service Group has recently expanded
our production into the teardown and inspection of the fore and aft
transmissions of the Boeing CH-46 helicopter. Fueled by our relationship
with Boeing and NAVICP, we are forging ahead to provide the same quality and
efficiency with the CH-46 project as we have with all of our engine
overhauls and repairs. As evidence of our ongoing commitment to quality and
excellence, we are now qualified as an “A” Vendor for Boeing Aircraft
Company. |
